non compete downloads online

What is the name of your state? NY

Hi,
I was just wondering if these non-compete agreements that are available for download online can be used by us normal human beings who don't understand legal mumbo jumbo effectively to enforce an agreement.

what was i thinking

i should have known, mostly lawyers read these sites. They don't wanna answer my question for some reason. I would venture to guess silence would mean that these agreements will work and they take away from the actual lawyer consultation fee which I assume lawyers oppose.
