| NV Corp, but looking to move What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada
Hi,
In 2008 I started an S-Corporation (I'm the president and sole shareholder) in Nevada for my contract programming work. I'm a NV resident, but am potentially looking to move out of state to Colorado or Utah and I'm wondering: when I do move, do I have to incorporate in the new state or would I be considered a foreign entity? I'm confused because when I do move I won't physically have a presence in NV anymore- yet I know people incorporate in NV all the time and don't physically reside or have an office here, so how does that work? Would I need to maintain some address in NV for the registered agent? Thanks for helping me understand what is involved here.
Thanks for your help!
