Is it possible for a CA limited partnership to have different share (unit) classes?

I am GP of a LP which owns some real estate in CA. The lps are family and friends, 6 total.

Some other family and friends have asked me to trade stocks for them, and I want to do it in one account, not separate ones. Could I just create more LP units, identified as separate from the units that own the real estate, and organize this way?

There would be less than 15 lps total, and assets would be less than $5 million.
