connecticiut. We have hired movers to move one of our corporate offices. In the move, they have damaged one of our computer systems. The computer system is leased. Shouldn't the company have insurance coverage for these accidents. If so, are computer systems covered on a "replacement cost" basis or are attemted repairs of the system considered acceptable practice. We have contacted our leasing company and they want the entire system replaced. The company responsible for the damage wants one of the personal computer technicians to try and repair the system.

How should we proceed? Please advise.

We are a small company and do not have a dedicated legal on staff. I am not sure our attourneys have specific expertise in this area and though we'd run it by the forum. I would expect that this type of an issue is fairly common no?

The movers should have proper insurance. File a claim with their insurance carrier.
