My response:

Yes, they can. Whenever you fail to fulfil any kind of consumer contract, a report on your credit can be made. If you had read the entire contract when you first sent in for the CD's, you would have read that you are required to pay shipping, handling, and to pay for the rest of the CD's at regular Club prices. And then, when you received your shipment, if you didn't like the terms and conditions send with the package, you had the option to return everything within 10 days, and owe no money. But, you didn't return anything, and so you accepted the terms and conditions of the contract.
