What is the name of your state? Minnesota.
I own a Import repair shop (Bosch service center)(european)
Next door to us was a radiator repair shop. They sold and now a new Import shop is opening up (Autowerks)
We did not get any notice from the township about conditional use permits or any other notice.
Is there any laws or regulations for the same style buinsness to be allowed to open up right next to another? Shouldnt there have been a public hearing ?
The township name is Wyoming township.

My e-mail is [email protected]

To start with first does your TWP have zoning ords ? if not then check with the Chisago county zoning desk . if they havent covered it either then there is simply no reason the other business cannot go there . Unfortunately for you it adds to the competition , THE other side of the deal is that with northern Washington county and ALL the growth from there on up into central Pine business should be good . That whole area along the freeway has become heavy growth area including all the way on over to Braham . Likely your going to have to specialize just abit more and you should be ok . If your not advertising in the local papers or radio stations that are with in your area like am 1330, fm 95.5, or 107.5 maybe you should . The market is there with all the housing growth . But back to your problem If the owner of the new business complied with everything they were supposed to in order to set up then theres not much more you can do other than look for new ways to get customers .

There is a place just south of San Francisco that has 7-11 stores right across the street from each other.
