small business in danger of losing clients

What is the name of your state? illinois
I have a riding school for 25 years ... we sold the property and now lease 30
stalls at a polo club while we wait for my new barn to be completed. the
manager at the polo club has a new girlfriend who has hired a new barn trainer
for the polo club and the gierlfriend has asked me for all my clinet list, names,
addresses and phone numbers**************.I think she will contact all my people and try to get my hard earned clients away from me**************do I have to give my
client list to the manager or his girlfriend? they r not owner of polo club.
I feel I will be in danger of losing my business. christy n.

My response:

First of all, has the girlfriend said she's acting the agent and fiduciary of your lessor? If so, have you asked her for the legitimate purpose of such request? Has she been able to point out a provision of your lease that requires the information?
