What is the name of your state?

I have been doing graphic design for my husband's business for a couple of years. ( he is an educational consultant )

We want to start a business using his company name - just add graphic design to the end. Can we do this using his Tax ID or do we need to get another Tax ID for this business?

If you want to start another company with its own P&L, then you will need a new FEIN. This will require seperate income tax filings. If you just want to use a variation of his name and fold the P&L into your husbands company then you only need a DBA name.
