What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

My ex wife had a business in her name. Since then she has transferred the business into her boyfriend's name so that she can show that she has 'no income' and is attempting to collect more child support as well. She been living with her boyfriend now for years and told me in person that there is no way that I can prove that she continues to make income since the business is no longer in her name.

She can still be imputed income at what she earned before, so transferring the business doesn't help her any.

Also if the boyfriend dumps her...he owns the business. Ex wife will be SOL. ;)

That was the first thought that popped into my mind. There is nothing more foolish than putting your business into someone else's name.
Yup...and to boot!!.. a boyfriend/girlfriend. Just a dumba$$ thing to do. :(

The again anticipating that the relationship would eventually sour the lady may have secured a re-assignment of the works which she has tucked away for safekeeping.

An interesting ploy would be for the OP to have a well heeled appearing strawman approach the boyfriend with a purchase offer so attractive he can't refuse. In the course of the con he tells the "owner" to have his lawyer draw up a proposed contract for his attorney's approval.

Somewhere betwixt and between "Mrs. Smarter-than-you" will emerge out of the woodwork.
