My uncle ,died and we have found a old will. He made promises to 3 people but did not write it in the will. He told all of us-he had a new will-but so far it has not surfaced-can we protest ?-are we sos...what rights if any do we have.

I would contact the attorney who wrote the old will, and see if there is a new one....

It is possible to challenge it on verbal grounds but you must have had witneses who could verify it,and to prove he want sick, altzheimers etc... and the family must also agree to give you what he promised....

ifffy at best.
