1098-T vs Hope Credit?

What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state? California

Apparently, we are eligable to claim the Hope Credit once more so will do so. However, I recieved a form 1098-T from the university my son attends which indicates the dollar amount I spent on his tuition. What do I do with this form and how does this figure into my tax return??
