1099 for H1B visa holder

What is the name of your state? MA

Hi,
I am a foreigner holding a H1B work visa. I want to know if I can get paid by 1099 by my employer for the contracting jobs I do for him.

Sure. You'll have to pay US social security taxes. Depending on what country you're from, you might qualify for US social security benefits under a totalization agreement.
