1099 history info

What is the name of your state? Minnesota

This is really not a question about taxes...but kind of. Long story short. My father-in-law died and left mineral rights to my husband. (lived in Arkansas) The Trustee of estate,( who is not taking care of things)is my hubands step-brother, who lives in Arkansas. The step-brother(will refer to him as SB) was to immediatly send mineral rights checks to husband so he(my husband) can have transfered to his own name. Since we have a old, not updated list of the mineral rights and no current info we are having trouble finding out which company to write to to transfer the rights to husband. SB is receiving checks and depositing them into the Koch Living Trust and not sending any info or $ to husband to change to the name. (sorry if I repeated anything) Since there were 1099's sent to Father-in-law there must be tax records of this w/companies name/address. Is there a way to request these records from the federal government?---I am at my wits end trying to deal with a drunk 800 miles away and am sick of being given the run around for over 10 months now....will be getting a lawyer soon to deal with other Trust issues possibly this too.What is the name of your state?

You are right, this really isn't a tax question. Its an estate/trust question. Try the wills and trusts forum.

That information is available by filing form 4506-T. However, you must have Power of Attorney to order those transcripts.
