What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OHIO

i received a 1099 Misc from an employer. i am in the food industry and provide a service to a restaurant every once and a while.
before i start my 2008 taxes i have a couple questions.....

i travel 30 miles round trip to provide this service.
can i claim this mileage on my taxes?
i know how many trips i have taken back and forth (or is this just considered the same as any W-2 employee traveling to work)?
how would you provide receipts for gas?
its not set up as a business car; just my everyday car.

i get my equipment reimbursed...i am just concerned about the car mileage.

thanks
