AZ - Proper Exempt Code to Use in Transfer of Warranty DeedWhat is the name of your state? AZ Hello, I am preparing a Warranty Deed to transfer a rental property for which I have set up an LLC. The Warranty Deed will transfer the property/title from me, sole and separate owner, to the newly formed LLC. What exempt code do I use on the Deed? I am thinking: A.R.S. 11-1134-B9 Is that the appropriate code for transfer to an LLC? I don't see one that is specifically for transfer to an LLC. Thank you in advance, Joy Last edited by anewist; 12-25-2007 at 08:28 PM. |

Proper Exempt Code to Use in Transfer of Warranty DeedState: AZ Just to follow up on my own query I learned that transferring a Warranty Deed to an LLC, even if no money passes hands, does not constitute an exemption. However, a Title agency suggested to use a catch all such as A.R.S. 11-1134-B1. If indeed, no money has passed hands, anyone investigating would accept that exemption code, so I'm told. |
