| | | benefit of filing single vs joint What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
My wife and I got married on June 2008. Is it more beneficial for us to file our 2008 returns separately or joint, based on current tax structure?
Thank you. |

Thank you. | That is completely dependant on your financial circumstances. My wife and I filed separately as it made a ton of difference on our state (Ohio) returns. It didn't amount to a fast food meal's worth of difference on the federal return.
