A Bit Confused.....

In Fla.
Before I got married, I use to do my own taxes. It was just the 1040EZ form. It was a breeze for me to do and saved me money.
Well, I offered to do my cousin's taxes. She is to fill the 1040EZ as well. No problem, I thought...
I am confused now about the numbers. For total wages she only made $7507. On line 5, she is single and it says to put down $7450. Now on line 6, it says to subtract line 5 from line 4. Well, I get a negitive 57 (-$57.00).
I have never got that before, so this is new to me. I would like to know if anyone has any advice about this matter. It that number basically telling me that she didn't give enough withholdings?
I'm to the point, I might just take her down and have someone with exerience get this down for her, just so I don't mess her up. Can't mess with the IRS.
Any answers, I would greatly appreciate....

There was an error in your math. $7,507 - $7,450 = $57. It is a positive number, which you should enter on line 6. And the $57 is her taxable income. The tax on that is $9, but she probably qualifies for credits, so there probably will be no tax and she should get back all her withholding.

Thanks.....

Thank you for your response..... I ended up taking her to a friend of mine who straighten it up for us.
You were right... It was my math. I was reading it wrong. My bad...LOL. But I did get it taken care of for her. She is all in the clear.
Thanks again.....
