This isn't the sort of question we can answer here. Each city and town within a state is different. Even so, your taxes won't go up until your property is reassessed after the improvements. For example, they reassess every four years. So if property is improved in year one, it could be three years before there are any significant tax changes.
You will want to ask them the mill rate, which is the amount per thousand that property is taxed in your city. Then estimate the value of your home after improvements, and calculate the approximate property taxes that way.
