California franchise tax board just took 10,000 dollars out of my checking account.
I was young!! 18 years ago! and did not file my taxes for 1990 with interest and penalties that added up to 12,500! never got a letter until 2 days ago called them right away and pleated my Cass! they said they would put my acct. on 30 day hold went to the bank later they had taken out the money, called them the next day they basically said to bad! what can i do?

The money is gone unless you can file your return and prove you owe less in tax, penalties and interest. But, no one can really advise you without knowledge of your facts.
