| Can Advertising be a charitable contribution? I am a publisher of a community magazine in Texas. The company is an LLC.
From time to time, I am contacted by non-profit organizations, many faith-based, about donating advertising for a specific event (fund raiser golf tournament, special services, special speakers, etc.) Sometimes I agree to run the advertising for them (and develop/create the ad at my expense), without charge (and in place of advertsing I could sell).
My question is, "Can I deduct this advertising as a charitable contribution on my taxes?" If so, the normal retail amount, or a lessor amount based on margin/profit?
Thanks. |
