Can I Be Claimed as a Dependant?

What is the name of your state? TN
I lived with my boyfriend for the entire year of 2005. Although I resigned from my job in Dec. 2004, I still received one paycheck in Jan. 2005. Anyway, my w-2 stated total wages at a little over $4300. I never returned to work. My boyfriend supported me the entire year, but did I make too much for him to claim me as a dependant? I thought the rule stated if he supported for more than 50% of my living expenses for 6 months or more, then he could claim me.

you are not his child, you are not a qualifying relative, you are not a dependent, even though it may feel that way.

Since your W2 shows wages of more than 3200.00 he cannot claim you as a dependent.

Thanks to those that responded. I kind of figured that was the case. Doesn't hate to ask and see if there is a possibility in some way. Wishful thinking on my part, huh?
