Can I lose my LTD BenefitWhat is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?OH I've been on Long term disability for 7 years and now the insurance company wants to see my tax returns for the past 4 years. I can't work because of my disability, however my husband & I own some rental property together as 50/50 partners. I do no work but our tax return shows the taxable rental income(loss) as a 50/50 split. Since this is not "earned" income could the insurance company stop my LTD payments based on this passive income?? Do we have to retitle the property to my husband's name only? |

| You should be fine, but read your LTD policy first. Rental income is considered passive income, not earned income.
