What is the name of your state? PA

I understand that I can take up to $3000/year in net capital losses and that the remaining losses are carried forward until I have gains to use them agaist or until I use the losses in $3000 increments. My question is, is this $3,000/year a total per person or per stock loss?

Thank you.
