Can I claim a capital loss on my home in which I refinanced after a nasty divorce and then lost it myself due to loss of job. I lost alot of money on that house because it went into forclosure after I had refinanced it. Should I do a long term capital loss on my taxes this year?

No. It was your residence, not investment property. You cannot deduct a loss.
