What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

We are a very small, non-profit community service organization. (Annual income does not exceed $35,000 and most funds are used to support our work. There is no paid staff.) Many of our donations are weekly cash contributions of $5 to $20 each. No receipts are given at the time of the donation. If receipts were to be given to individuals at the time of the donation, do our internal records need to reflect the person’s name, amount given, date, etc? Do we need to keep any records other than total amount collected on a particular date?

Thank you.
