Certain Ebay Costs - Deductible?

What is the name of your state?NM

I sell items on Ebay and about 5 - 10% of the time, buyers don't pay. I'm wondering if any part of these types of sales are deductible. There are listing fees to consider, not to mention the actual auction sale that could have been won buy another paying customer.

My question is if my item should have sold for $25 and I spent $1.00 for it to be listed, is only the $1.00 deductible? Or can I write off the $25 as bad debt?

My GUESS is that if you sent them item and they didn't pay then it MIGHT BE. You would have to document the value and the delivery. treated much like receiving abad check in any business..

Of course you are paying taxes on the income derived from your eBay sales too.
