claim parent that is on foodstamps?

What is the name of your state? ny. i live with my mother. her name is on the lease only. i work and made $25,000.00 this year. she gets food stamps ($10 a month) and gets social security check ($900.00) as well as a monthly pension check (of $200.00) in which taxes are not taken out. she might had lied and said that she lived alone in order to get food stamps. So my question is: can i claim her as a dependent on my taxes? because i dont want to get her or myself in trouble because of her actions.

Her income of 1100.00 a month is probably high enough that she legitimately provides more than 50% of her own support. Therefore she would not be your dependent.
