Conversion of pension plan to IRA ?What is the name of your state? Illinois Hi, I had a pension plan while I lived and worked in the U.K. However I have now moved and settled in Chicago and work here. I'm trying to transfer my pension plan from the U.K. to the U.S. I received a reply from this forum that I won't be able to roll it over into a 401 K plan. Do you know if I can convert it into an IRA or ROTH IRA, or any other US tax saving retirement plan. I'm currently a resident of the US (green card holder) not a citizen. Thanks |

| You cannot. But be sure to keep the appropriate records to substantiate your basis & check the tax treaty.
