 new york, my father has a large tax debt, he had filed sepratley
from my mother. I have power of attorney and my mom is selling her house. Her name is on the deed. Will the IRS take her house and who is responsible?
my father is in a nursing home and in a coma?

If his name is not on the house, they will "probably" not take it. I would want to hire a tax attorney to make sure. Just because they can't take the house doesn't mean they won't give it a try.
