dependant?

What is the name of your state? il

my daughter (now 19 in 2006) is a full time student at a trade school (which receives pell grants from the fed...don't know if you need this info).

she lived with me for 6 months in 2005; moved out for 2; moved back in for 1 month and 1 week, then moved out for the remaining 3 month balance of 2005; during the last 3 months, I paid her rent and have cancelled checks for the same. Was she a dependant for 2005?

For 2006, she does not live with me, but I pay her rent and utilities. Is she a dependant?

Thanks for your help!!!!

Yes, she would still be your dependent for both 2005 and 2006. She is a full time student and doesn't appear to be providing more than 50% of her own support.
