What is the name of your state?I live in Florida and received 2 - 1099-MISC in 2004 along with my regular W-2's. Do I have to file the 1099's now, or can I wait until next year? I really need my refund this year and if I file my 1099's, I'll owe money.

Yes, income must be accounted for in the year it is received.

In the future, your best bet is to put away about 25% of any monies you receive via 1099, that way there will be no surprises the following April.
