Do you have to pay taxes on what you pay or collect on an apartment lease?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ


I was wandering if it is illegal to not pay taxes on the money you pay or collect on an apartment lease. I am the tenant by the way. Thanks.

How do you know that taxes arent paid?

Since you stated you are the tenant, it sounds as though you may be looking to start some trouble for the landlord.

How about telling the whole story......
