Double taxation on the car

What is the name of your state? GA

Hi,

I moved from KY to GA this year. I transfered my car to GA on January 4th.

Then I got the ad valorem tax bill from KY some time in March. I called there and they told me I had to pay it since the vehicle was registered in KY on January 1st.

My birthday is in November so now GA wants me to pay the tax again.

The same car, the same year... Is there anything I can do about that?

**A: move back to KY and get your money's worth.
