We live in Missouri.

I read somewhere that one of the qualifying requirements for the EIC is me and my spouse's home must have been in the United States for more than half the year.

I arrived July of 2004 and we got married on September 1, 2004. I was granted permanent residence on January 2005. My husband is a US Citizen.

My husband's income is just under 10K, and we plan to file a joint return. Is me having not been here for 7 months & up in 2004 disqualify us for the earned income credit?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
