economic stimulus question

I put down on my w2s last year that i could be claimed as a dependent, BUT I was mistaken, and could not be claimed as a dependent. Now, seemingly, I will not receive a stimulus check. Is there any way around this?

Not sure how that would even show up on a W-2 (or do you mean W-4), but what matters is what you actually filed for your 2007 taxes. Just because you did not receive the stimulus letter (based on 2006 filing) does not necessarily mean you will not get the stimulus (based on 2007 filing).

Oops, your correct, I meant W-4. I actually received the stimulus letter after my first post, though of course that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

If you have filed, or will file a timely 2007 return claiming your own exemption, you will receive the economic stimulous.
