What is the name of your state? FL/OR

I have heard that sometimes it is better to file separate? I live in OR and she lives in FL, util she finishes school. What is the best way to file taxes in this situation? Our daughter lives with her. Also my dad lives in the house as well. Can we claim him? Would it be worth it to claim him?

The best thing to do is to get everyone's tax info together & get it in front of one tax pro, who will run the returns to see the best way to file. You'll probably want to use an OR tax pro, since FL doesn't have state income tax & OR does.
