What is the name of your state? California
I'm marrying in about 8 months, and my fiance has some IRS tax debt. How can I protect myself? Is filing separately the best route? What about keeping money accounts separate?

The best thing to do would be to NOT get married until after the debt is resolved.

Failing that, file separately, and keep all finances separate.
