filing joint or separate

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

My wife and I got married on June 2008. Is it beneficial for us to file our 2008 taxes separately?

You've got to do the math. However, even though the software we use has the ability to split taxpayers and show the married v. married filing seperately calculation, it almost never is better for you to not file as married.
