What is the name of your state? Oregon

We are a family of four. My husband is the only one bringing in an income. Is it better to claim 4 on your w-4 and get a smaller refund at the end of the year? Or claim 0 on your w-4 with a large refund at the end? Do you end up paying a lot of taxes by getting the larger refund at the end? I know this is such a board question with a lot of variables. But if someone could help answer as best as they could. Thanks a bunch.

You pay the same amount of taxes either way. It just depends on whether or not you want to give the government an interest free loan.
