Question

Getting TIN

What is the name of your state? Washington DC

We are a company having the headquarters in Washington DC but incorporated in India. Our office in the US is headed by our president, an American with his own SS number.

My query is when we were dealing with a company for offering our services they asked us our TIN number which we do not have.

How do we get a TIN for a company incorporated in India (is it necessary?) and till then can we use the SS number of our president?
