What is the name of your state? New hampshire

My father is currently going through a divorce along with some other things. Therfore, I have recently taken over paying his bills. I currently get his paycheck depoisted into an account with my name on it and I pay his bills only from this account. He will be receiving some money from the divorce for his portion of the home. He would like most of this money put into my account, so its not always accessible to him.

What would the laws be on gift tax in this situation since he isn't giving me the money, I am just controlling it for him.
