What is the name of your state? Florida

We owned an auto repair business that closed August 2006. Instead of using the tax accountant that prepared our taxes the previous year, our partner gave the computer, receipts, and all financial information pertaining to the business to his father (who is a certified accountant in Florida.) Our delima, he has not finished our business taxes in order for us to receive a K-1 so we can file our personal taxes. We have filed an extention with our accountant but what legal recourse, if any, do we have for him not filing our business taxes and holding us up personally? He has "been working on them" for the past 9 months and we are done waiting! Any insight?!What is the name of your state?

Your recourse is to ask for the stuff back & go back to your old accountant. When you didn't take your stuff back in March, you waived any claim that timely filing was a priority with you.
