What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? SC

We closed on our home on november 5th 2009. we could qualify for the long-time home buyer incentive, however we bought our home on november the 5th instead of the 7th. we did not move to our home that day since it is a new home, it was never occupied before. Does this make a difference? what can we do to be able to take advantage of the the 6500 dollars tax credit?
We could have moved the date had we known that the extension of the incentive was not continous since everything taked about an ending date of April 30, 2010, but nothing talked about a beginning of November 7, 2009.
Please help!!!

I am truly sorry, but the long time home buyer credit did not go into effect until November 7th, which means that you do not qualify.
