What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

I close on my home on June 24th so I will qualify for the $8,000 tax credit. However, my income this year is going to be over the $75,000 cap. I believe I will be under the $95,000 cut off point so I will still receive some sort of credit. I am getting married May 1st of 2010. I know that filing joint raises the cap to $120,000, under which I would qualify for the full credit amount. Do I have any options for maximizing my credit?
