How should I file?....

What is the name of your state? New Jersey

My wife and I file married and our status on our paychecks are both s1

She will stop working this May due to the birth of our first child...

What is the best way for us to file our taxes next year?

What should I have my paycheck saying? s1 or s2 or etc.?

I would like to basically break even at the end of the year as far as taxes...not owe and not get anything back.....

we own our home and paid around 10,000 in interest on the mortgage last year...

    Thanks all..!!

    They have a W-4 calculator at www.irs.gov.

You can plug in your numbers and figure it out. We can't really tell you without income information.
