Important information on the tax stimulus payment

What is the name of your state? Confusion

Economic Stimulus Payment.

This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A format:

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?

A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q. Where will the government get this money?

A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?

A. Only a smidgen.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?

A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China ?

A. Shut up.

However, there are many who will get these checks that didn't pay a dime in taxes... which kind of chaps my hide.

There are some hardworking people, living paycheck to paycheck, who didn't end up paying any regular federal income tax, but to them, the money is a godsend. Some of my clients pay no tax at all, but work even harder than I do, and make do with a lot less. Many of my clients are using the money for things that they really need, but could not afford to buy. Simple things sometimes that the rest of us take for granted.

If the fact that some are getting checks who didn't pay taxes chaps your hide, just be glad that you're not in my category. I pay more than you in taxes and I get squat.

personally, I find it exceptional how they managed to remove every working student whose parents claim them as a deduction from receiving the stimulus.

Oh, and for anyone who has the misperception that the PARENTS get it. WRONG!!!!!!!!
