However, if this is informal and the court did not appoint a personal representative, then you might be able to file as the personal representative. Before doing so, download IRS Publication 17 for free at [url]http://www.irs.ustreas.gov/forms_pubs/index.html.[/url] Part I, Chapter 4 of that Publication is about decedent’s returns. That Chapter will give you all the rules. |
