Inherit a property in a foreign country

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CT

My father owns an apartment property worth $150,000 - $200,000 in a foreign country. What are the tax issues I could face in US if I inherit the property or if I receive proceeds as cash?

    Thank you for help

Was your father a US citizen? The recipient of an inheritance has no tax issues generally. The estate my have to pay a tax, the US has no basis to tax foreign nationals when they die.
I'm not a lawyer, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.
