IRS Takes Refund Check when no taxes Due

What is the name of your state?I am from the Keystone State of Pennsylvnia. I was supposed to receive a refund check for the amount of $1500.00 The IRS took from my 2004 refund check the sum in excess of $1200.00. The IRS said that I owed back taxes of $731.00 from the calender year 2002. Although I prooved without a doubt that I do not owe any taxes, they ignored me and now not only did they deduct over $700 they also took an addional amount in excess of $500.00. A couple of IRS agents even agreed that I do not owe any taxes but what was said over the phone and what really happened is two different things. To me this this is plain Gestapo tactics. Pure theft as I was robbed point blank. Please advise what course of action to take.

First of all, calm down. Write out the details of the situation in an UNEMOTIONAL and NONACCUSATORY narrative, and send it to them Certified RRR.

You should get your money soon after that, if everything is as you state.
