irs wont agree child is mine to claimWhat is the name of your state? ok i filed my taxes for 2001 with myself and my youngest child my (now) wife filed with her kids and the irs told me i would have to show proof that he was mine so i provided copies from daycare and from his mother saying that she was not claiming him we did live together but were not married the irs didnt find in my favor and say i still owe money how can they say i can;t claim MY child?? |

| Where's the birth certificate? The fact that his mother didn't claim him doesn't mean you can -- you still have to prove he is your kid.
